The purpose in revealing this artwork is not to impress you with my artistic skill. I am untrained, have limited technique, and am not focused on art as a product. I focus on art as a process. Not all art comes from a skilled hand. Some of the most moving pieces I've seen have come from children. While technique and training can certainly help open the possibilities of artistic expression, neither technique or training are required for artistic expression. Creative expression is our birthright. Just about every child can finger-paint and draw with a crayon. It is only when we learn that our drawings don't quite measure up that we begin to curb our natural creative expression.
